Short n sweet. My local B&M has about 10 boxes of these available.

I am not selling, but will pick up for you if interested, the only rule, you pay the postage. I will make 5 ers if there is a lot of interest.

Please PM me if you are interested.

Oliva Series V Maduro Especial cigars are available in one size, and one size only, a torpedo which is slightly different than the Liga Especial Torpedo. The V Maduro will have a ring gauge of 52 and a length of 6.50. The reasoning for the reduced ring gauge was to dial back the power of the cigar. In early stages the added size made the blend over the top and by backing off the filler, the preferred proportion of power and smoothness was achieved. Oliva V Series V Maduro Especial uses a Connecticut Broadleaf Binder, Nicaraguan filler. This cigar is blended to deliver full body taste while maintaining an unparalleled smoothness. This flavorful blend exhibits complex tobacco with rich coffee and dark chocolate tones. A subtle and well balanced spice is present throughout. Oliva Series V Maduro Especial 6.5x52 Cigars Box of 10 Oliva

How much?

I hate to be the jumping in here but I think this should probably be in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum. Also, I think you are a bit off on the rules for that forum.

Sorry sir, I am not selling these, hence this forum. Offering to pick up as a good gesture for any BOTL if interested. Should be that simple, and, have done this same thing previously. However, feel free to alert Ron and let him make the call.

Thanks,

Da Pugman

He's off by a day....

But yes, this does belong in the BST forum Gramps. Any deal made on these boards goes through there. Even though you're not selling yourself, you will be handling other people's money.

*edit to add: these things have been run through the lounge (not the BST). I'm not condoning it, just stating that it's happened before...

If you are not selling them then people interested in buying should be directed to contact the store that is selling them. The money, other than postage, should be handled by the store and not you. Remember, on CP we do not add profit for ourselves on top of what we paid for the sticks. If we find a good deal, we pass along that good deal. That means that every sale on CP is essentially nothing more than picking up cigars and offering them as a good gesture. All sellers on CP follow those rules as middle men for the transactions.

There is a big difference in me saying that Party Source has boxes of Oliva V Maduro and sending brothers to them and me saying I can get you boxes of Oliva V Maduro. The first is referring to someone else's sale, the second is me conducting the sale. If I am conducting the sale and handling the money for other CP members then I am bound to the B/S/T rules. Given the fact that you are the one offering to do things like break down fivers, you appear to be selling by handling the money and content.

I appreciate that you are trying to do a good thing here but wait until tomorrow, when you are eligible to sell, and put this in the B/S/T. I don't think we need to involve 'Ron' in anything as this is a self moderated forum.

jnknzz's link is an example that turned into a sale in this forum but it did not start as one.

Nice gesture Pug. Move it to the other side of the street and list the asking price and all is fine.

Yesterday must have been nitpicking day instead of gentle advise to a proven member day.

No one was accusing you of anything. Things were being explained to you about how things have been done here. No reason to get all upset about it. Just learn and move on, imo.

There were a couple posts with gentle advice in them. In this, just like every other similar situation, advice is given, if it's taken the wrong way/not followed/whatever else then it's reiterated in a firmer way. It's not "nitpicking" to inform somebody of the rules and guide them in the right direction, it's exactly how these situations are always handled.

LOL

Confusion resolved!

I figured I'd post in here since Ed and I have collaborated in the past. While it's true that this probably should go in the b/s/t forum, I'm sure Ed meant no malice here. He offered the same with some LFD's a while back and he treated me very nicely. A stand-up BOTL, in my opinion. Just wanted to give my side for the board.

Smoked on of these on Sunday while watching the football game. Too be perfectly honest, I like the regular Serie V much better. Don't know what it is...whether it was that it didn't live up to the hype of what, but it just didn't do it for me. I also found the flavors to be a bit muddled and muted.

I had the same experience. The cigar was good but didn't really wow me. I think there's some potential there so I'm gonna throw a couple in the humi for six months and see if it has any effect.
