Actually it's a cheapy Cannon scanner -- just judicious use of Unsharp Mask in Photoshop.

Aw hell, decided to give it a shot and made a few desktop/wallpaper pictures for use as a background on your computer. Pick the size that is appropriate for your monitor:

Opus X / Forbidden X desktop/wallpaper pictures:
-- 800x600 resolution
-- 1024x768 resolution
-- 1280x1024 resolution
-- 1600x1200 resolution

If you don't see a size here that fits your monitor, pick the next largest size, and scale it down; should still look pretty good.

Yeah, I thought about that -- but if I can do it with a $199 scanner, so can anyone else -- and the real key is in the printing -- embossed parts, goldleaf, etc.

So just out of curiosity, what color depth and resolution did you scan them at for the largest picture?

So when will cigarbands start using waterstamps and stuff? Someone should scan all kinds of bands and make a nice collection online. It's usually so hard to see the band when looking at a picture of a cigar.
