So, I'm new to the whole cigar scene, and I have tried a few types, nothing too fancy, just basic ones, but I had a question for those who have smoked a bit longer than I have. I'm goin' on an outdoor offroading trip in South Texas soon, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good cigar to smoke outdoors, or if there is even a difference between a cigar indoors or outdoors.

any takers?

There's no difference; smoke what you want and enjoy what you smoke.

but I would say if you are in a windy area like I am, enjoy the nice ones indoors! You will have a better burn and can enjoy the aroma. I would hate to smoke a good one and have half of the enjoyment it blow away

Padron X000 series or Oliva V/Connecticut series are what I would choose. Neither will break the bank, which will be nice if you have to cut a smoke short, or you get one with too tight a draw, ect. You will feel less guilty about chucking it and firing up another. It doesn't help that they are also great cigars. If you are new to cigar smoking, I'd go with the Oliva Connecticut, as it is a mellow cigar with plenty of good flavors. It pairs very well with a good lager also, and won't overwhelm the palate if you smoke a couple back to back. :)
