Padron as go to smoke?

I haven't made a habit out of smoking the X000 Padrons eventhough I have a few boxes. I tend to turn to my PAMs and 1926s on a regular basis though. Right now I am definetly on a 1926 kick.

I have smoked 2 fresh 2000's and didn't like them. So I have 2 aging, bout 6 months of age on them, so i'm interested to try them and see if I like them now

IMO they are better tasting/burning on the dryer side so very often when they arrive right from vendor they do need some humidor time at lower RH (I like them 65% or lower).

The K line of padron is a great value. My go to inexpensive cigar is almost always a padron or punch. Both cigars are always consistant of flavor, construction and draw. You can take one with you without needing a backup- it is going to be a reliable smoke. I tend to the 2 and 3k of the series these days. At the price point of the higher # padrons you start to get to the price of the torano exodus 59 and some of the other cigars I like. The nice thing about padron- and this doesn`t happen as it should with the other factories- a 2k has a hint of the flavour of a PAM. You can tell the heritige and with each step up the number scale it gets more pronounced.

after the immense response for the 3000s and for aging them I am giong to have to get a box of 3000s as well and see if I can hold off for a year or so.

:off to find the best deal on a box:

... My question is how many of you guys smoke the padrons on a regular basis as a cheap go to smoke?

If I could afford them as an every day smoke, and if I didn't already have more cigars than I could smoke in 15-20 years (at my present rate of consumption), I would love to have a staedy supply of Padron Ambassador maduros to work into a regular rotation of daily smokes. :)
