Smoked one of these yesterday while playing golf. What a GREAT cigar...and even better, I just looked them up and they are very inexpensive as well.

A box of these babies is going to be a must have!

I'm surprised you liked them so much. The tobacco is very good, I agree, but, having bought a quantity of them at one point, I found them to be very inconsistent. I think it's the panatela shape that does them in for me. It's just too easy for them to be plugged.

They are fairly priced, though.

Outlaw, the first link has them for $76 (box of 25). That's a little over 3 bucks a stick.

At that price, the Fumas loses it's appeal very quickly. The second link has them at a reasonable price, if they're still in stock. When I was looking for them (a couple weeks ago) many places claimed they had them in stock, even after I ordered them. Then I got emails stating that they were on back order. That's when Al stepped in and provided some assistance. ;)

Got a little info from a retailer today since I had a standing order for some Fumas. Here is what he was told when he called Padron.

"I talked to the Padrons yesterday, and I was told that the Fuma's are going to be discontinued, at least for the unforeseeable future! It seems that the wrapper they use for this shape is not available."

Has anyone else heard of reason?

I confirmed yesterday with Padron that the line has been discontinued. So get em if you can find em.

Al

Don't know why, but this is has definitely been confirmed by several reputable sources. Al - did Padron tell you why?

I like most thought these were a fantastic cigar for the price, and bought three boxes. To my surprise and dissappointment darn near half of them were so plugged they were unsmokable. I went through them and won't buy anymore. Now I buy 2000 maddies when they go on sale. Just not that much more (if you keep your eyes open) but a much better smoke overall, IMHO......

My $00.02 - B.B.S.

Agreed! And with some humi time, the 2000 maddies become even better!

Pick up a box of Maddie Londres, they can be had for under $50 and are long filler.

...even six months or so, and they smoke fantastically. I've bought boxes of 2K maddies for around $60.00 / box on sale.....

I have a feeling after talking to a certain someone that the Fumas will be back. Just give it a few more months.
