Somewhere, out there.
I saw this cigar on their website after reading about it in the Fuente sampler thread. I don't get the catalog, so I don't know if there's more info in there, but there's not much on their website.

Does anyone know what makes this cigar different other than the little band? I hate to support Holt's with any of my dollars, but if there's another Padron out there to smoke, and it's only available there, I may have to order it. I'll have to order it with one hand (I'll be holding my nose with the other :p ), but I'll order this one time because I am an unabashed Padron freak.

Any info out there?

That size looks different from the rest of the 1926 line......

It does look different, but the pictures on the site make it difficult to tell (for me, anyway) what size it actually is. It looks like it may be a bit smaller ring gauge than a #1 but the length is difficult to discern.

If it's just a different size, I may not bother. I won't be able to say I've smoked all of the maduros anymore, but I can deal with that.

This is a bit puzzling, Padron doesn't know what about Holt's "Legacy."

What Holts is saying

The release of the Padron Legacy is a monumental occasion. Not only is the cigar phenomenal, but the Padrons rarely come out with anything new. For Padron to release a new cigar of this caliber, exclusively for us, is truly something special. They didn't pull any punches blending this beauty. Tasting notes include earth, spices, nuts and leather all topped off with a chocolaty finish. This is a one-time limited release available only at Holt's inside our special Padron Legacy Sampler. Happy Holidays and enjoy while supplies last!

I am in the same boat as Alan, I really want to get my hands on some of these, but it appears this may be a new blend that you can only get through the samplers :( .

I did not get a catalog either, does anyone know of a more pics or discriptions?

That's what I remember reading. Thought I was going crazy.
Thanks for sharing Breedy.

Strange that Padron wouldn't know anything about something they made exclusively for Holts.

If the blend were different than the regular 1926 line would they use the 1926 band? The 40ths are the same blend, just an extra band for the different size. It seems like this would be a similar case, but who knows.

Thanks for the info, guys. If anyone finds out anything else, I hope they post it.

You can only get it in the sampler, its not available by the box.

From the catalog:

Padron cigars are world-renowned for quality, consistency and excellence. The Padron tradition began in Cuba back in the late 1800's and continues today in Estelí, Nicaragua, where the family manufactures some of the world's finest and most coveted cigars. Under the leadership of family patriarch Jose Orlando and his son Jorge, the great Padron legacy will live on for many years to come.

The Padrons are very good friends of Holt's. Our families have done business together for many years, and we have visited their factory in Estelí numerous times. To celebrate Holt's 110th year of business, the Padrons decided to blend a new, extra-special cigar exclusively for Holt's customers: The Padron Legacy.

The release of the Padron Legacy is a monumental occasion. Not only is the cigar phenomenal, but the Padrons rarely come out with anything new. For Padron to release a new cigar of this caliber is truly something special. The cigar itself turned out unbelievable... A breathtakingly gorgeous Nicaraguan wrapper envelops a dazzling blend of extra-vintage Nicaraguan tobaccos. The strength is full-bodied and the flavors are perfectly balanced, exuding wonderful richness and profound complexity. They didn't pull any punches blending this beauty; tasting notes include earth, spices, nuts and leather all topped off with a chocolaty finish. The Legacy measures 6x48 and is finished in the traditional Padron-style box-press. This is a one-time limited release available only at Holt's inside our special Padron Legacy sampler. Happy Holidays and enjoy while supplies last!

It was brought up that the 1964 Torpedo was sort of the odd ball here, I am believe that this may give us some clue to the new blend. Obviously the Legacy is 3 parts 1926 and 1 part 1964... I mean that clearly makes sense, right??? I am sure there is someone smoking a Legacy on a subway in the Upper East Side right now who may disagree, but being that we are now on day light saving times and fast approaching the winter solstice with only 4 years and change to the end of the Mayan calender......yea I guess nothing really makes sense anymore.
