Padron Millenium natural

Expensive, somewhat hard to find and not as good as the Maduros IMO. I'd have to say they are equal to the 1926 natties but with a slightly different taste. Not a $35 stick, at least not for me. YMMV.

Padron Millenium natural, what's the word on this?

I just had to go and find out for sure. By no means will it be a bad smoke, but I agree 100%, the maddies are better on the others. Considering this is just an aged '64 blend, I probably should have thrown some Exclusivo's in the bottom of the humi and smoked them in 2015.

It's not just an aged 1964 blend... the Millennium blend is distinct from the 1964 line, the way the 1926 line is also distinct (but they all share common taste overtones).

Back to the question at hand. Is it worth 35 dollars? Considering they retailed for $30 a stick when they came out I would say yes. Also considering a 40th Anni is $25 I would also say yes!

I'm pretty sure the MSRP was lower than that... I believe it was $2500 for the humidor and 100 cigars.

When they first came out I got them for $25 a stick. Six years later, ten dollars on top of that wasn't too much to pay for a couple to try. $10 extra * ten sticks= more than I would pay.

Moki, I was under the impression they were the same blend just aged longer. Glad to have your vast knowledge at hand.

.....

To celebrate the Millennium, the Padrón family created the limited edition “ Millennium 1964 Series”. Production was limited to 1,000 cases of 100 cigars each. The cigar, with dimensions of 52 x 6, is made with tobacco that has been aged for five years. All tobacco used for this single release was hand selected specifically for this limited production. Our goal was to blend a more full-bodied flavor while not compromising the balance that cigar connoisseurs have come to expect from our products.

The Millennium cases contain five solid cedar trays that accommodate 20 cigars each. Each cigar as well as each case is individually and sequentially numbered. To make this possible, new bands containing Jose O. Padrón’s signature were designed to accommodate the individual serial numbering of each cigar. Each case also features two solid brass plaques on the exterior lid. The first, appearing on the center of the lid, contains the 1964 Anniversary Series logo. The second, located on the bottom right corner of the lid, contains the following information:

Millennium
1964 Series
Limited Edition
Box No. 1/ 1,000
Cigars No. 000001-000100

Cases bearing numbers representing important family dates have been reserved and will be released on a limited basis in the future.

I'd like to try it some time, but $35 is a bit much. I still have 7 PAN 1926 # 6 that are sleeping for awhile. I love the way these smoke and yes, I love the maddies too, but the naturals are very tasty IMO.
