Panama Hats

I've been wanting a Panama hat to wear with my guayaberas. Any recommendations on a reputable retailer? I saw Brent Black's page and he has nice hats, but if I had $500 to plunk down for his lowest grade hat, I'd buy a pistol instead. If anyone knows a place in Atlanta (yeah, right), or Tampa (maybe?) that actually sells them, that works too.

I bought one a few years ago at King Coronas in Ibor. If by chance you are going to the RTDA there is a vendor who sells them right at his booth. Hope this helps.

Yes I have had a few of these hats. One which I purchased in Panama, but most of the best hats are made in Ecuador. That is where they originated.

I sure wish that I had one. I'm about to take pictures of my Arizona tobacco plantation and of course, I need to be wearing a panama hat and smoking a big cigar while inspecting my crop like the fuentes or others. It is all just a hobby this year. We just got rain for the first time since the beginning of March and the tobacco has grown about 6 inches in two days.

Thanks for the help, folks. I could find retailers online, but I just had no info on reliability. Tedski, how did you like panamahatsdirect.com? I was looking at their Havana in Fino or Super Fino.
