41 is a great age to be! we seem to have the same taste in gars and scotch, so i wish i was with you when you celibrate yourbirthday. lol! have a yankee doodle birthdy on the fourth of july! :D

Happy Birthday Pete! I'll go put some AiC on in honor of your Birthday!

Have a great day with fine friends, food, drink and smokes

:) I'm really touched by all of this birthday well wishes and outpourings.. it really means a lot to me.

I know I don't get involved much in some of the "meatier" issues here like herfs, cigar passes, etc... but I truly love this site and come here every single day, many times a day. I read a lot and learn a lot too. Hopefully when the house (and more importantly, the lawn!) are underway and set I will be able to contribute to a passion that has only come to its fruition several years back (cigar smoking, natch!).

I feel like I know a lot of you and have loads in common. I will very much enjoy a cigar today but have not decided which one to smoke. I like to let one sit in room temps/RH for an hour or so before I smoke one, so I best get off my ass and pick and snip!! I'm leaning towards an ISOM today, or maybe a stronger NONISOM as I'll be enjoying it out in the great outdoors in the next several hours or so.

Its funny.... I've turned 41 today. I don't feel any different today than I did when I was 15 (except for this pouch in my mid section that looks like something that should be on a kangaroo!) Brickhouse, happy belated and please do come back safe and sound. Maybe if the wind blows me in the right direction I can join you lot in a herf somewhere near my neck of the woods (NY, that is). Hell, maybe even in Toronto or somewhere in Canada to mix some great (high alcoholic content) beer and some ISOMs to do it right! Whaddya say BOTL?

Well, its a good year. I've witnessed some great concerts (David Gilmour solo!) and soon to witness more (Roger Waters and the Who in the fall). I'll be married to the woman of my dreams on October 20th, and have an amazing new house. I have my health and my happiness and am gainfully employed. I guess there really isn't much more I can be thankful for, is there?

Well, to all of you, keep safe and have an engaging and exciting 4th of July. A day off bestowed from me to all you BOTL!

Ciao!!!
Darren (aka Pete Townshend!) --- as if I were as great a talent as that guy! :sign:

Happy Birthday Darren from one firecracker baby to the other! I had a Padron Aniversario followed by a Tatuaje  ...what did you have?

a Rocky Patel Vintage 1990. I'd have to say it was just so so (smoked outdoors and with a mild breeze, so the smoke wouldn't linger). From what few mouthfuls I tasted it was pretty nice. I guess my real celebration smoke will be with my mentor (Ted) smoking a Cuaba Distinguido. I love those cigars!!!
