Pictures of my Reef Tank

Very nice indeed. I used to have a 125 gallon aggressive tank, a 75 gallon calm tank and a 30 gal. isolation tank. I traded in the bad habit for one that burns small rolls of leaves. Not quite sure at his point which is more expensive.

One question we never did answer though.. If your $30 dollar fish eats your $70 dollar fish does that make him worth $100?

I used to reef-sit for my friend Mike when he went away on vacation. What a chore! Constant checking and rechecking of everything, then he went computer-controlled and it made the job a lot easier.

Here are some pics of his setup, I believe it's a 180gal. display, plus 2 sumps in the basement: (clickable thumbs) sorry they are all cellphone pics.

Here's the sumps, plumbed up through the floor, filters, protein skimmer, phos reactor, calcium doohickey, etc.



This lower sump is just for volume control.

Beautiful set up! I do not know why I have missed this thread. I am very jealous. You must just sit and stare all day.

Nice Set up. I have a 72g bow in my office I am only running PC's so I only have softies but, the Hammer Coral, Leathers, Toad Stools etc are getting huge. I will post a few pics once I get my Blue Jaw Trigger that I have on order.

Great hobby though and my customers really seem to take to the tank. Plus it is much easier to write off the Maintenance and supplies as a business expense. :thumbs:
 
Nice tanks, Gents! I love salt-water aquariums, but could never afford the time or money - but I do hope to get a corn snake terrarium back up and running sometime in the new year.
