Are we all familiar with the concept of the Platonic Ideal? I sure hope not, because that'll give me a chance to poorly explain it in a way that will upset the philosophy geeks. So Plato was this big hoss of a Greek dude way back when, and when he wasn't slinging weight, wrestling, or positively mogging nerds with his physique, he did a lot of sitting around and thinking. This was before Henry Ford invented the job, so that was just a thing you could do back then. Anywho, he reckoned that everything had an ideal, perfect form. Everything. Yes, even that thing that you're thinking about. And every actual earthly version of said thing was basically just a cheap Temu knockoff. Ever seen a chicken? There exists, conceptually, a Platonic Ideal chicken. Perfect feathers. Perfect beak. Perfect whatever other parts a chicken has. Every chicken you've ever seen or will ever see pales in comparison. That hypothetical chicken is the Platonic Ideal chicken.

Close your eyes and imagine a triangle. You know what a triangle is, right? Yeah, one of those. Picture it. Maybe you pictured an icosolece triangle. Perhaps it was an acute triangle. Could have even been a right triangle. I didn't specify, I just wanted three sides and three corners. That triangle you imagined, when left to your own devices, was your perception of the Platonic Ideal triangle. What you pictured and what I pictured are probably different. Neat.

Shit's sake, I've rambled on for long enough. If you don't understand the assignment by now, it's a lost cause. With ALL of that nonsense out of the way, the question is such: what are your Platonic Ideal cigars for the following categories? Many of these are left intentionally vague, same concept as the triangle thing. What pops into the forefront of your mind at the prompt? So yeah, here we go. Feel free to answer as few or as many as you like. Or tell me how wrong I am about Plato so that I can make dismissive wanking gestures in your direction.

What is your Platonic Ideal...

Mild cigar?

Maduro?

Puro?

Churchill?

Full flavor cigar?

Complex cigar?

Figurado?

Cuban?

Yardgar?

Everyday cigar?

Desert island cigar?

Highly rated cigar?

Hidden gem?

This immediately comes to mind.
