I think I am finally ready to take the plunge and host my first pass. Ready or not, here goes.
The name of this pass will be the “Poker Pass”. I will have a total of 12 participants (excluding myself). There will be a separate bag in the pass labeled “Poker Pot”. In addition to the usual puts/takes each participant will put one additional cigar of a quality you would wish to receive if you won (please, no “yard gars” or “dog rockets”) into the “Poker Pot”. When the pass returns to me I will match the pot with an additional 10 cigars so the pot will have a total of 22 cigars. In the pass box will also be 12 sealed envelopes numbered 1-12 each containing a 5 card poker hand. Each participant will chose an envelope to keep as their “hand”. The hands will have been randomly dealt documented and put in the envelopes by me. At the conclusion of the pass I will announce the suite and rank of the remaining 2 cards of the deck which will act as “community” cards to be used by all participants to make a best of 5 out of 7 card hand. At that time I will also reveal the name of the participant holding the winning hand and ship them the “pot”.
All the general rules apply but I am posting some that I lifted from another pass just as a reminder and I happen to like these particular rules.
1. When you receive the pass, please do an inventory and make sure everything is there and numbered correctly. (I will put a hard copy and a floppy disk in the box for everyone to keep updated and I will also keep a current post of the pass inventory here)
2. Please inspect the box and packaging materials for proper cigar packing. Either post your concern or contact me directly.
3. Do not remove the cigars from their baggies unless they are part of your approved P&T’s.
4. Please post your proposed P&T’s in the forum prior to the pass arriving to you. If anyone has an issue with someone else's plays, please be polite about it and post your concerns in the forum.
5. P&T’s should be ISOM for ISOM, NC for NC, Premium for Premium and all should be value for value.
6. Please notify next person in line via a post in this thread prior to shipping to confirm they are ready.
7. Ship package via USPS and post the DC# in the forum.
As this is my first attempt at hosting a pass any comments/suggestions are very welcome.

Great idea for a "gimmick" too! Lookin' forward to this...
I thought I had heard back from everyone I sent invites to. Now I just got PMs from sir-smokes-a-lot and Gonz. I can't beleive I spaced these guys out. Would anyone be apposed to randomly adding 10 more cards to the deck so these guys could play? I'll PM everyone and go with the group conscience. Sorry for being such a dope. :blush:
