Thanks you guys who posted here, and thanks to the members who PM'd me their condolences. I'm sure this isn't anything of consequence to some members here, but it's something important to me.
I got selected to assist in escorting Ryan's body from the Coroner's Office to the Riverside Police Department. It was very humbling to be able to participate in it. There was approximately 30 patrol units, 1 airship, and about 15 motors that participated in the 15 mile trek. Everyone rolled with lights only, no sirens, and we shut down a freeway and downtown Riverside in the process. I snapped a couple photos, but nothing can compare to being there in your car, alone in your thoughts.
After this incident, it was good to see a handful of good citizens still care about their law enforcement officers. Some guy decided to roll up next to our convoy and point and laugh at us, which was pretty fucked up. Some people just weren't raised right. It's like the same people who held up signs at the Seattle Officers' funeral saying, "They got what they deserved." Anyways, here's some photos:
His funeral will be this next Tuesday, so I'll be there. Thanks for letting me share.
