Pretty effed up world

Any grown man who wakes up in the morning and makes bringing a ball to work in order to play with 9 year old kids is only up to no good. If I were you, at the VERY least I would file a report with UPS and also a police report.

The disturbing thing is this guy made it a point to bring a freakin' basketball to work! Something very wrong here... I wouldn't let this go.

Oh, this is far from being "let go". His supervisors have been notified, UPS higher headquarters have been notified, the police have been notified.

On showing restraint: I just cannot get into fights like that anymore. Sure wasn't a big deal when I was in my 20's with no family to worry about. Chances are if you do get into a physical altercation with someone and you're the one that has every reason to get into it with another party, you will be wrong (in court) and be the one that ends up with the law against you instead of working for you. I asked the cop what would have happened had I punched this guy....short answer I'd be in jail right now. I can't protect any of my family from behind bars.

On "The golden rule, "no talking to strangers".............where did that one go?": My kids don't talk to strangers. I asked my son what he was thinking. I get enough packages delivered via UPS that this guy has been up our driveway often enough to have said hello and that my son recognizes him as an "ok" guy.....like the mailman you know. I have seen both my kids turn and walk away from people they don't know, asking them what those people wanted, the kids told me "where winterberry drive was", a good question cuz it is not clearly marked. Anyways, the UPS guy is a bi/tri weekly "regular" at my house and I guess in a child's mind, that means "not a stranger".

You did the right thing. Did you have a talk with your son?

Agreed! You absolutely did the right thing. Definately need to talk to your son about it.

It is a scarry situatioin. When we moved into our current house, we found out that we had a registered sex offender living down the street. At first I was super pissed off, and then calmer heads prevailed. I wish there was something that I could do about it, but all I can do is be vigilant.

Apparently he is a level 3 sex offender, which meens highly likely to re-offend. He apparently molested and or raped, "Same thing in my book" 9-10 yr old girls. My oldest daughter is 10, my youngest is 2 1/2.

So I feel like I owe it to the neighborhood to watch this particular person very closely on behalf of everyone. Probably a good thing he dos'nt realize what would happen if he ever crossed a certain line with my family!!

You should probably secretly harass him until he moves away.Do whatever it takes to get rid of that POS.I have 5 little ones and I constantly check our sex offender registry to make sure who's living near my family.Child predators are the lowest form of life and deserve nothing but the worst.
