Professional Wrestling

Alright you guys rock.

I was a HUGE fan during the early 80s when this stuff was still GOOD. I can't stand the new stuff.

"Mr Genius (Formerly Leaping Lany Palfo)"

Macho Man Randy Savage's real life brother.

I remember when Hulk Hogan beat the Iron Sheik to win the title (the first time). That was so huge at the time. The iron sheik had these crazy shoes where the toe curled up into like a curly q. He would kick guys with that when the ref wasn't looking. Hulk got one of his shoes off and whacked him with it. It was great.

Harley Race lives near where I live. We see him at the casino all the time. He's a nice guy.

Greetings! Yes, I was a fan of professional wrestling, mainly back in the 1960's and the 1970's. I especially enjoyed watching Wahoo McDaniels, Fritz von Erich, and The Intelligent Sensational Destroyer. Yes, that was his full title! He was a masked villain wrestler. Actually, professional wrestlers are primarily stuntmen, acrobats, and bodybuilders. The matches are rehearsed and staged. However, accidents do happen, and hence the occasional serious injuries, and even sometimes deaths in the world of professional wrestling. I do not particularly care for the manner in which today's professional wrestling is "packaged" and "hyped". Regards, knightlaird

Me neither, that's why I stopped watching years ago. Although, you have to admit, Vince McMahon is a freakin' genius. He holds a complete monopoly on the sports entertainment business that is "professional wrestling".

Try to catch TNA (on Spike Sat and Mon nights) - a lot of the ECW crew and other hardcore guys doing insane stuff on there now (including Sabu, Rhyno, Jeff Hardy and the Dudley's).

I have some friends here in town that used to work for Paul Heyman...if I knew you were an ECW fan I would have hooked you up with some of my fan cam tapes!!!

I was much more of a Masato Tanaka guy myself..with a close second to the Eliminators

Tito Santana is a teacher at my kids school (only conferance i was happy to go to) I am a huge Foley Fan!!!!!!! Have a Nice DAy

I go back to the 60's and it was all regional then, no national tv. The Crusher ( a South Milwaukee native; he died a few weeks ago),The Bruiser, Mad Dog Vachon, Larry The Ax Henning, Bobby Heenan, Bobo Brazil, and one of my favs, Hercules Cortez, Billy (man of a 1000 holds) Robinson, Red Bastine (spelling?, Lushious Lars Anderson.

I met a few at various bars in the early 70's, The Russian Bear Ivan Koloff, Dirty Dick Murdock. Met Andre The Giant at the arena in Milwaukee in 73 or so.. what a big guy, and his hands.. wow!

Jerry Lawler, Jackie Fargo, Handsome Jimmy, Sputnic Monroe, Don and Al Green...Memephis Wraslin used to rock.

My uncle and cousin, both wrestled in memphis with all off them.
The were the guys with the masks that got beat every match.
Some people say I look like Jerry Lawler, then again, my mom did go up there quite often.

Daddy?

As anyone from New England could tell you, Bruno Sanmartino was the greatest wrestler of all time :D

He made it down to Jersey too. My one expieriance with this was winning a paper boy contest for signing up new subscribers. They put us on a bus and drove for two hours to Jersey City to watch Gorilla Monsoon square off against Bruno Sanmartino for some championship. This was in 1966 or '67.

I was a short order cook at a pancake house in downtown Milwaukee in 1972 and I made breakfast for Nick Bockwinkel. He had strawberry roll-ups and the waitress said he was a lousy tipper.

He was a cool villan though.
