Trophy Husband
As some of you may recall, I was fortunate enough to go to Puro Sabor in January of 2025. Here is the link to my write-up on that amazing adventure (Puro Sabor 2025). As part of the welcome bag, we were handed a blue box filled with cigars from the participating factories and blenders. Well, it was too beautiful to open and smoke, and I had so many cigars from that trip that it found its way into the deep recesses of my humidor and has stayed buried there for almost 2 years. Recently, I was asked if I was going to do a review series this year... so it is time to give the people what they want. Additionally, while in Nicaragua, I blended my own line of cigars. It was a very limited run; only 10 were ever made, and to the best of my knowledge, I have the only remaining one in existence. It is the most rarest of the rares: the JdN Jonathan Elliott. It only comes in one size, the robusto. I thought it would be fun to begin by reviewing the JdN JE and then compare it to the cigars from my fellow blenders. Am I as good as Pepin? Am I as good as the Padrons? We will find out over the upcoming weeks and months.
