what is the difference between a "standup" wine and just a regular wine? my local liquor store has a website where you can browse different wine varieties. They have different categories for pinot noir and they have standup pinot noir. They also have similar categories for zin, cabernet, chardonnay & merlot. Just curious.

Low alcohol content. You can drink as much as you want and still stand up.






Never heard of the term, maybe NorCal can shed some light on it.

I don't know for sure but if I had to guess it might just be a list of the store's recommended wines for the given category.

Kind of like saying, "He's a standup guy."
