Ok BOTLs, I need some quick help. Here is the sit:
I'm at my local B&M and one of they guys knows I'm looking for a larger Humi with drawrs, but I'm not as flush as I want to be. The dilema is one can rarely afford (in the long term) to pass up a good/great deal. They have a stand up humi just like the one I've pictured here except it is in cherry. It has long , but not deep scratch on the right side and a cracked strip on the inside bottom that hold the glass in place. All three issues are easily solved as I want to stain it Mission Brown and I have the tools to fix the other two. He's offering it to me at $500 WITH HUMIDIFICATION!! Is this a good deal? Too good to pass up? Need to give him an answer before I leave today at the end of the Cowboy game. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I shopped these towers pretty extensively about a month ago. $500 is definately a good deal considering humidification is included and you won't have to pay that $150+ shipping fee that is almost unavoidable. So IMHO... I think this sounds like a winner.

Hope this helps Jeff!

edit... then I read Jonesy's post. I would imagine that the one showing on C-bid won't sell quite that low. Maybe $350-500 then factor in humidification and shipping and we are almost up to $600-800, depending on the final bid.

TOUGH CALL!!!

Humidification and it being seasoned are the 2 pluses here. Granted you'll still have to pay shipping off of C-Bid, the price will just about even out with the one you're talking about Jeff and you're getting a new humi. Make sure the system works and the door isn't warped and has a good seal if you do decide to buy it.

BTW - are you at Two Brothers? and is this the humi that they were keeping the PAM's and Triple Maduro's in???

I agree make sure everything works!! If yes then buy that baby, I need a place to store a couple of boxes!!! Go Cowboys!!

Thank you guys! All appears in good condition and I don't have to pay shipping. The minor items are just that - minor. There is also an Oak one but I'm not a fan of the oak finish either, so I'm gonna refinish it either way.
Jonesy I think Mac has a point with the HUmi included and that the biding is not going to saty that low.
NOW the bigger problem - How th e heck am I going to fill this Big Dog? :0

i told you I need to store some boxes   Bye the way I think I will be coming home this week!!! Herf time!

Anybody think I can refinish this while it is operational?

OK, I pulled the trigger. I either need to work 24 hrs / day till the end of the year or get a new and better paying job. Know anybody that needs a mortgage or refi?? I'm sure we can work out a deal. OR Know of anybody hiring a cigar junkie with an MBA and 15+years manangement experience??
I gues this next weeks herf is at my house guys!

edited for typing thumbs
