I have no idea how to search this. My apologies if it has been brought up in the past.

When someone brings up a cigar brand that is both NC/CC (i.e. Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, etc), how can you tell if they're talking about the NC version or the CC version?

I'm still a bit confused with this.

For the most part the NC and CC versions with the same brand name have different cigar names. There's a few that do cross over, and generally when they do people will specify, oftentimes with that pesky "isom" afterwards.

For example with Cohiba, the NC Cohibas are always referred to with the addition of "XV" or "Cohiba Black". Whereas if I were to say I smoked a Cohiba Lancero everyone would know I was talking about the Cuban version.

Thanks for the responses. I guess it all makes sense.

...Now to improve upon my telepathy skills !!
