R.I.P. Dennis Weaver

Dennis Weaver, the laconic actor who became a TV star first as the sidekick Chester in Gunsmoke and then as the leading man of 70s series McCloud, died of complications from cancer on Friday at his home in Colorado; he was 81.

Looks like we are losing a lot of the greats this month.

Greetings! I remember Dennis Weaver primarily for his television series' of "Gunsmoke", "McCloud", and "Kentucky Jones" (he played a veterinarian in K.J.). He also appeared in motion pictures, and recorded country songs. Mr. Weaver will be missed. Regards, knightlaird
