Talk about a blast from the past. I used to be big into model rocketry and was a nut for military missiles. I recognize a Nike variant, the Sergeant, and the Pershing but there are others I've long forgotten the name of.

That was my job while in the army, great picture Hillbilly! And being a model rocket nut was one of the reasons I chose ADA way back when. :blush:

NIKE HERCULES, LAW, HAWK(the three smaller missiles on the launcher),REDEYE(the one that looks like a bazooka being held by the soldier in front of the HAWK launcher), SERGEANT, NIKE ZEUS, PERSHING, LACROSSE, NIKE AJAX.

The ENTAC wire guided anti-tank missile (replaced later by the TOW system)

Wurm, I spent my Army carrer as a Supply Seargeant and I happened to be lucky as well to receive orders to two differnt ADA units. I was with Delta, 2/56th ADA (NIKE HERCULES) in Zweibrucken, Germany from Aug 81' to Nov 83'. Then, I got orders to Charlie Battery, 2/56 ADA (CHAPPARAL / REDEYE / STINGER) in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii from Dec 83' to Dec 85'. 5 years out of 20 isn't bad doing ADA time if I say so myself. The assignment were enjoying but if I had to do it again, I would have gone Air Force or Coast Guard....... :thumbs:
