I was hoping someone could offer some advice for a noob! Most of the cigars I've tried from various sampler packs have just been ok. I recently tried a Diamond Crown Robusto and loved it...but the $15 per stick price tag is a little above my budget! I suppose you get what you pay for, but does anyone have any recommendations on a cheaper cigar that may be in a similar style? I do prefer milder cigars and found the Diamond Crown to be fairly mild and super smooth. Thanks!

Welcome to CP! There's a lot of great information to be found here for sure.

My first recommendation would be;

1. Read the rules

2. Post an introduction - http://www.cigarpass.com/forumsipb/index.php?showforum=34

3. Search is your friend

;)

Now, you've got an introduction to handle, and some reading to do.

PS- Looking at all of these threads makes me realize how many many people cutr and run from here once they've gotten what they want out of CP... A lot of 10 posters asking the same question and never heard from again, going back to like, 2004... :(

Kind of like a broken record, eh? :p

Try the HdM Excalibur.
I found a few with 2 yrs. on them and had one
last week. Super smooth, and a nice change of
pace, medium cigar.

Perdomo Champagne and RP Vintage also come to mind.

Chemyst

Not to mention there's already a thread 10 posts below this one with the very same title and subject matter. Mikey900 must cruise CP with his eyes closed.

Check out the newbie sampler, I spent about $100 and got 15 stick which were ready to smoke, and are aged. I can't say that I didn't like a single cigar I got, some where better than others.

What are some other cigars you have tried and liked?

My personal recommendation would be for you to try the Ashton Classic line of cigars. They are probably close to 30% cheaper than the Diamond Crowns, which are definitely on the more expensive side. If you like a mild cigar these work. Macanudo is also a reliable go to smoke that is on the lighter side as well.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Introduce yourself, use search.

We don't have to reiterate this multiple times to get your post count to go up.
That's rich.

No, Cajunblaze is Rich. Wootsite's response was simply uncalled for.

ahhh, but so was suprchunks. The first two posts directly after the OP told him to post an introduction and search so there was no reason for him to even get involved. w00ts!te just beat me to being the smartass of the moment or I would have given it to him twice as hard.

My post was simply pointing out that 3 posts had already said what I just reiterated. The point being that not everyone needs to chime in with the same thing after someone's already said it once. Sorry the psuedo-irony was lost. I will try and refrain from posting such abstractness in the future.

come on guys. I know some of you are Pro's on reading the rules and folliwing up with your CP post. As a newbie I want to say that sometimes you learn by making mistakes I'm sure he will search after posting his intro.

As for a recommendation, I will suggest that you try my favorite cigar. Oliva V Torpedos!! I get hints of coffee and cedar but I find it very mild

Wow, for a 4 word post, you made a point, included some psuedo-irony,and even had some abstractness.! Damn, you're good!

If one of those points was to try to get people not to post the same things, then why not just come out and say it instead of contradicting your own "point" ?

Toro, your intentions might have been for the best, but it's wise for a 3 week newb not to give out advice in these threads.
