Removing Cigar Bands with little to no damage.

Hello, I'm still down sick, this has been brutal. The current course of antibiotics seem to be working. Can't wait to be back at smoking Cigars soon.

In the meantime I am sorting bands for a shadow box project. What advice or methods do you guys have for getting bands that are glued really strobgly to open up?

Also, when the white backing sticks on the display side of the band, any advice for removing it without damaging the band underneath?

Mostly new style bands, some older paper bands from the 80s.

Steam will work, use a tea kettle.

Sometimes I will slide them off the foot of the cigar once I've tapped most of the ash off.

understood that's why I said scissors. When I had my cup made with bands I cut with scissors then cut it again to look nice.

Highball glass

Some of you may remember a friend of mine made me a 32 oz cup covered in my own bands. I still use that every day, but now she just surprised me with a highball glass!!!!
