Remy Martin Louie Xlll cognac

yeah but the reserve isn't met yet... who knows what it'll go for... for a high ticket item like this, I'd rather just buy it myself. It's some DAMN good cognac, btw...

I've seen it lately at the a liquor store here for around $2,800 to $3,000. It's been that for at least a year. Wouldn't mind having one for myself if my last name was Martin. :p

Lord... you can get it duty free for $1,100 or so...

DAMN........ :0

$760 for a bottle of Cognac........and the auction's not over yet.
Pretty-looking bottle though.

The 1.75L bottle is near $2.5K but the 750 ml bottle shouldn't be any where near that much. $1100-1200 is about the norm.

I have seen it as low as $990.00 BUT you have to have it shipped to a Calif address. Where's phil when ya need him :D

AVB will find ya the best deal going ;)

I'm also not too sure if I'm comfortable buying from someone who doesn't know how to spell "Louis" geez

Somebody won that one for 762.25!

$1100+ in most places

$50 for a 30 milliliter serving at one place in town that stocks it. Still waiting to justify that.

Going to Lukas this weekend to look for a bottle of one of the cigar reserve blends.

Whoa, THAT'S a DEAL!! I spent $60.00 for a shot of the Extra Perfection at the casino in March and they wanted $55.00 a shot for that at a local restaurant. The Extra Perfection is the next step down from Louis XIII. I asked if they had any Louis XIII and they said they had one shot left for $90.00 :0

I let 'em keep it :D

Oh baby, I'm the high bidder at $550.00 for the first one listed in AVB's post

Two days left........

Hey Monte, if I drop in uninvited at your house bearing cigar gifts, do I get a shot :D

So who has tried it? Is it all that great? I'm guessing a lot of the draw is just the mystique.

I've had it. It's extremely good cognac. Is it $1,100 good? No, of course not. Nor is it 10x better than a nice $100 bottle of cognac. Like anything, when you get up into that price range, you pay significantly more for incremental improvements.

Still am damn glad I had it. :)

The cigars would have to be in the same price range as a shot! :p

but alas .... it's all gone but the memories. ;) Took me a few years to drink it. Wonderful stuff. Got it as a wedding present from the wife.

I've had a couple goes at it. It's very, very good...but as Moki said, there's no way it's worth the going rate.

Unless you are fabulously wealthy, this is definitely a splurge item. I'd rather put the money into 10-15 bottles of exceptional wine...but that's just me.

Come to think of it, I'd rather put the money into 250 bottles of special brew beer :)

Hey.. at least he didnt decide to spend the 250 of special beer on 10 kegs of something like Busch Lite. LOL :sign:
