RIP Don Meredith

The "Golden Age" of MNF. He was the perfect foil for Cosell. I grew up on that crew calling Monday night games and haven't seen a crew that can match them yet. He was a free spirit and one of the NFL's unique personalities. RIP Don.
 
It seems like just yesterday when he ruled the airwaves with Cossell and Gifford! Rest in peace.
 
I was 15 when Dandy Don left MNF. I was just getting old enough to where I would look forward to MNF. All my life growing up it was a staple in my Grandpa's house. I would watch with Grandpa only because we only had one TV in the house back then. I think that made me love football. I will always remember him. Those early broadcasts always remind me of growing up. Every time I hear that familiar sound byte. Bum bum ba bum! It takes me back.
