Heard on the radio he died today. Along with John Wayne, he was one of my heroes when I was a kid. The mini-series "How The West Was Won" was awesome and I loved the "Gunsmoke" re-runs. I didn't realize he was part of the real Anzio landing until I read that today. He was a stud and will be missed.
