In case this is a double post, I apologize, but this is a subject very close to my heart. Many of my brothers and sisters in blue and red died on that day, doing what we do best: Saving lives and making a difference.


They're the reason I wear my uniform proudly, why I wear my badge over my heart, and why I will never forget the tragedies I saw on that day that compelled my heart to serve.


To the families and friends of those that gave their life, I salute you and thank you. Thank a Police Officer and a Fireman sometime this weekend, it means more than you know.
