RIP Sam Simon

One of the good guys passed away today...Sam Simon, one of the writers that helped turn The Simpsons into a half hour series from the shorts shown on the Tracey Ullman Show. A few buddies of mine from CA were friends with him and said he was a great guy, major animal lover, and BOTL.

I'm a little late on this, but about a year or two ago, he gave away a veritable FORTUNE to charities, sticking to the "you can't take it with you" line of thought.  Even when he still had a long time to go, he regularly gave away more than many would deem sane.  He was one of the good guys.
