On a mostly cloudy afternoon with warm sun and a light breeze, I lit up the Roasty Jones cigar. This is a new release from Raymond Pages, who has been putting out some very good cigars.

While not a big fan of flavored cigars, actually, not a fan at all, I came across a Nicaraguan coffee bean infused cigar and thought this would be interesting to try. Interesting in the sense that this isn't sprayed with flavoring, rather infused with roasted coffee beans, two of my favorite things (cigars and coffee). Not to mention, I've been happy with the Toasty Jones line.

Construction and Burn: The Roasty Jones is a well-made cigar. The draw is effortless, producing thick clouds of smoke with every puff. The construction is very good, with a clean, even burn from start to finish - no relights or touch-ups needed. The ash held firm, and the burn line stayed sharp throughout, making for a relaxing experience.

Flavor Profile: The pre-light aroma hits like a bag of freshly dark roasted coffee beans, mixed with mocha and a touch of sweet tobacco. The wrapper must have some sort of sugar infused onto it, as it's sweet to the mouth, but not overpowering. The first puffs deliver bold, earthy coffee notes, layered with a creamy sweetness from the tip that feels like a latte in smoke form. Imagine sipping a creamy latte through a cigar - smooth and rich with natural tobacco with a coffee bean pairing.

A mild pepper kicks in early, growing slightly sharper as the cigar progresses. The tobacco itself has a natural coffee flavor, distinct and rich, adding depth to every draw.

Mid-Smoke: Moving into the second third, the flavors deepen. The coffee and mocha notes hold strong, blending with earthy undertones and a smooth, creamy texture. The pepper picks up a bit but stays balanced, never overpowering the roasted bean core. The aroma is very nice, reminiscent of pipe tobacco with a pleasant room note that’s inviting without being heavy. Each puff feels like a warm, creamy latte, making this an interesting and satisfying smoke.

Ending Notes: The final third keeps the momentum going, with consistent roasted coffee, mocha, and creamy tobacco flavors. The pepper adds a subtle spice to the finish, and the burn remains flawless to the end. The flavors stay consistent, delivering a cohesive, enjoyable experience from start to finish. I'd say half of the experience is the infused coffee beans, while the other half is the cigar itself; if you pay attention, you can distinguish the two apart.

Overall Thoughts: The Roasty Jones is a great cigar for anyone who loves coffee or pipe tobacco. It’s smooth, flavorful, and feels like a dessert smoke, perfect after a satisfying meal. In about 45 minutes, it delivers consistent rich, creamy coffee notes that never disappoint. I’m already planning to age a few of these to see how they are down the road. If you enjoy aromatic, dessert-style cigars, the Roasty Jones is something to try!
