Rocky Patel Factory trip is ON!

So. I finally got around to trying my custom blend and its amazing. Which gave me an idea. For all those that but a box of their blend, why don't we each send one to a member on cp that we all know has an amazing palete? Have him age them all 8 weeks and them smoke them. He choses a winner. Whoever wins, the others all throw in money to cover their box?

Isy, inform the guys that aren't CPers of the idea if you see them. They may want in.
I'm thinking KingAntz if he's up to the challenge... after his thing with Jeff I'm quite impressed with his palette.

PS: It doesn't have to be BEFORE we order our boxes... we could do this contest after we get our boxes, and the winner is just reimbursed for one of the one's they've ordered.

I will contact everyone individually. However, I don't have any of mine left. I already gave them out to people. I only smoked one. So I won't be able to get Greg one until after I get mine in.
 
Apparently I need to clarify what I mean.
Whoever orders at least 1 box of their's is eligible to play. Once a winner has been chosen, all the losers pool together money to pay for ONE (in case they ordered more) of the winners boxes. Let's say we get 11 out of us 15 to play... and assuming the boxes are $150. That means each of the losers owes the winner $15.

I'm in...Joe is sitting right next to me at the store and he's in too.

edited to add: Actually, I'm not in. I don't have any of the 5ers left. I can regulate the contest, if needed. Sorry. Joe's still in, though.
 
I think Isy is still lost... you can be in whether you have any cigars left or not... we're gunna wait til AFTER we order our boxes...

PS: This way is also good because if we do it this way then you can take one cigar from each player's boxes when you get them in. That's good for several reason
1) Only one shipment needs to be made to the judge.
2) All the cigars are the same age.
3) You could remove the bands and number the sticks so that the judge is not biased by any names.
4) It would add suspense when reading the judge's reviews because we too wouldn't know who's sticks are what number, thus adding to the suspense.

Ok, I'll start a new thread to encompass this exciting event with rules, regulations, and a running list of who's in.
Isy, are you down for the organizing efforts I mentioned above?

I figured I'd start it now so we can nominate a judge, and discuss what criteria we would like the sticks rated on... "I like it" is very subjective to a single judge...
