So, the old saying “Too much of a good thing” is really the main story here. This cigar has been in my humidor for about a decade. During that time, I was not very diligent about keeping up with humidity and temps. This cigar suffered for my neglect for sure.
From start to finish, this cigar provided only one flavor, the taste of the Corojo wrapper. Now, that is not to say that is a bad thing, but in this case, it was an old and dry Corojo wrapper.
I knew I was in trouble when I went to make the cut, and it sounded like dry leaves in your hand. This is a cigar size and shape that under most circumstances I would have punched, but I had a feeling that would not have worked out in my favor.
I will say, that for the sticks age, it held its box pressed shape well. This score is not an indictment of Rocky’s cigars, but the truth of this cigar, under these circumstances.
