I've been curious to try this cigar, but a bit skeptical at the same time. Never really cared for Rocky Patel's cigars since I got seriously into cigar smoking. Started off on the Indian Tabac Ltd. Reserve...good starter cigar, but not too impressive once you get into cigars seriously. Never liked the Vintage lines either. But I'd heard enough good things from different BOTLs to warrant giving it a shot.

I noticed the local B&M happened to have a lone box of The Edge, the Missile Size (4 x 48) in a Corojo. The smallest ring gauge size they make (since I don't care that much for huge, honkin' cigars)....a Corojo wrapper (since I don't care much for NC maduros either  )......there's no excuse, I gotta try it out, I thought!

Now take in mind I'm a bit spoiled on those "other" kinds of cigars :whistling: , and most alleged "powerhouse" and "full-bodied" NC cigars have fallen far short of the hype to my taste buds, so all I can say is......wow!

I was genuinely impressed with this cigar! It WAS very full-bodied and strong with a very pleasant flavor profile. Good construction and burn, as well. Smoked the whole thing in the shop without anything to drink and never once got any harsh feelings in the back of my throat. And for the price, it's hard to beat.

I give 'er a  for tasting great, delivering what it promised, and not breaking my wallet either.

RP Edge is a good cigar for the price..... I always have some of the Corojo in the humi. Got my father into the Maduro ones and that is all he smokes now. Holt's sells Off Color , not too bad. I don't notice much of a difference.

Just be careful when you go into a B&M and buy these.... B&M in NYC are a dime a dozen. Every place that sells magazines tries to have a small humi in the back. I usually go in to them just to see what they have. Not all of them are honest... I have seen a few that replace the contents of the box with some type of "unbanded" cigar. So you are not getting what you are paying for.

i love the edge line, anyone had fusion? im lookin to try one
I finally got a five pack of fusions in after waiting for two months and was very impressed. Multiple flavor profiles throughout with a good strong finish. Creamy middle and a little bit of spice on the beginning. Thick white almost blue smoke. Ash was smooth and gray and held on for over half of the cigar (these were robustos). I can't wait to have more of these and will have to try an Edge the way people are talking about them.

You are right about other cigars falling short in the full flavor hype! I think the corojo has a well rounded spice compared with the Maduro, either way if I had one handy i'd smoke it now.

The Edge corojo is, in spite of the ridiculous marketing of how 'strong' it is, a damn fine cigar. Full bodied taste throughout the entire smoke, although not very complex, but not nearly as strong as they want you to believe (I've never had any kind of nicotine rush from any of the 60 or so I've smoked)

the rp corojo edge is the #1 selling cigar in my store.

Who would of thunk it!

I've only smoked one and I thought it was really great. I've heard they can be a little inconsistent but I don't know that from personal experience.
