Ronnie Montrose....R.I.P.

One of my all time favorite bands was early Montrose. Rock the Nation, Space Station #5, Good Rockin' Tonight.....wow. Oh, and there was this guy named Sammy Hagar that was their first vocalist. Got his start in Montrose, IIRC....​

I remember being in Myrtle Beach on vacation with my parents in 1977....I was walking through a hotel parking lot and heard this ripping song playing from a party terrace and bascially invited myself to the damn party just to find out who I was hearing. Song was "Rock the Nation" and I've been sold ever since. Once a year a bunch of my old High school buddies get together for a ski/drunkfest weekend.

Space station # 5 has made many of us old fuggers throw our backs out playing air guitar.
