I cracked open a box I recently purchased and sparked it up. It was nice, but I was dissapointed. It definitely was not as good as I remember from a previous sample I was gifted. I'm guessing it is because the one I tried was probably aged. Does anyone who smokes these regularly have a suggestion for how long I should let them sit? Perhaps they just haven't settled down after shipping, but I've had them in the cooler for a few days and the burn, feel, etc. seemed fine, so I don't think it was particularly dry (or wet).

I've found that 3-6 months is fine for these :thumbs:

That first RyJ had almost 4 years age to it. :D
 
This cigar has turned into one of my favorites over this last year. As with any good ISOM, the more age the better.
