S.T. Dupont

I think I’ve officially fallen for the S.T. Dupont. I absolutely love that signature ping sound, but I’m having a hard time justifying the price tag.

Right now, I’m just using a basic Amazon torch lighter and some cedar matches. I really enjoy using a soft flame, which is what's drawing me to a Dupont. Is it actually worth it?

Lighters, much like cutters, and very much personal preference. I use a Vector 3-flame and a Palio single flame torch which were cheap enough to toss if they act up (they don't) and work flawlessly every time. 'Worth it' is a very relative question. To me, absolutely not, but if you've fallen in love, as you know all reason goes right out the window.....

I also prefer a soft flame. Look for a vintage DuPont made before they started making them in China. Worth the spend.
