Just a quick informal poll/sanity check to see if I am the only Northeast @#$hole standing outside in sub-freezing weather to herf as I am doing now . It's 18 degrees and I am trying to suck down a Opus Power Ranger as I write this and freeze. Anyone else?

Not me -- I hit the cigar club. Not worth it to me to freeze my balls off.

I'm with you, Moki... I have tried to go out in my garage with the space heater on. I find it much better to sprawl out on a nice leather chair, watching TV in a warm place instead....

And you, SFG (58 degrees...) I hope the mosquitos are biting your a$$!!!! :p

18 degrees? suck it up your haveing a heat wave, Its been -30 around here lately.
As for smoking outside in this weather how could ya waste an Opuz X :angry2: woulda been easier and quicker just to stay inside and flush it down the toilet.
If I must smoke outside in this weather, which I dont have too. I would grab a cheap everyday smoke not something as prestigous as an Opus.
I received one from my Secret Santa my 1st and probably my last sense I cant find them around my way, And I enjoyed it New Years eve with my family and a nice glass of 15 yr old Glenfiddich Solera Reserve in front of a fire, now this is the sceneario that an Opus deserves  not to be quick smoke out in the cold.

P.S.
I never did figure out who my S.S. was but my thanks go out to him for this fine cigar.

CLUES : From NY, has 2 daughters and box he used was originally sent from Maine to NY before he used it ............. I better call C.S.I.

A couple days I went up to see a buddy of mine who lives on the north shore of Lake Superior. I brought some El Ray Del Mundo Choix Supremes so he could try one. The temp was well below 0. We smoked 'em in his unheated garage. Despite the temp he was very appreciative. When I smoke at home it's not the temp that bothers me so much. It's the pain in the ass of having to get bundled up and once you are out there there is nothing to do but pace back and forth and try to stay warm. It's not like you can sit on the porch and read a book or something. The suggestion to go to a bar or cigar lounge will soon no longer be an option. The city of Minneapolis passed a ban on smoking in all public buildings and will take effect in a month or two. I suppose I could drive out to the suburbs, but that's still not very convenient. I guess the only thing left to do is get divorced so I can smoke in the house  .

Was in the mid to upper 70s this last weekend. Went for a swim and smoked a CAO Brazilia Gol while floating on a raft.

One of the fringeys for paying the outrageous home prices around here.

I found a new hangout though. Unfortunately it is an hour away. Fantasy Springs Casino (tribal) in Indio has a lounge upstairs with a section dedicated to cigar smokers. Am going to check it out in Feb. Taking my wife to see Bonnie Raitt. Will let you guys know how it is.

As for you guys.....and the snow shoveling.....and the below zero weather........no thanks.

Not that there is anything wrong with freezing your balls off :whistling:

I'm holding my hand up to you for a hi-five, gawntrail!

I was in temecula hitting the vinyards for some wine-tasting last weekend, and it was just *too* perfect of a day.
came home that evening, popped the cork out of some petit sirah, and blazed-up a PAM...still in my shorts & t-shirt. :)

(by the way, my wife was a server at the chili's in mo. val. when I met her 10 years ago!)
