Just got back from Saw V. Wish AMC had my refund at the door, especially for $23. No decent previews and this movie was thrown together to make a quick buck. I liked the other ones but this was worthless IMHO.

Oh, one decent preview Friday the 13th release feb. 13, '09.

edit: Saw V.

bummer to hear,
My son and I have been looking forward to this. We were planning a SAW marathon before seeing the new one. I think we will still go ahead as planned.

Must mean Saw V. I'm a big fan of the Saw movies. Can't wait to see Saw V.

The first Saw was amazing (if you're into that sort of thing). Subsequent ones fell short in my opinion. DO NOT SEE MAX PAYNE. I don't know how I got rooked into that one, but it was a giant pile. There was steam coming off the screen.

Don't tell me that...I'm a big fan of the SAW series. I think 3 and 4 have been the best ones at tying in multiple story paths together...For them to end the series on a bad note would totally suck..

EDIT:

They're making a SAW VI??? ...now I'm confused since the poster advertises that it's the end.

They still tie several paths together at the end, but the complexity of the others is just not there. I am a huge fan of the Saw series, but this one I too beleived fell short. Was definately thrown together, and not thought through as well as the other 4. Am I mad that I saw it? It was only $4.25 for me, so no. I am just dissapointed in the quality of film when compared to the others. If you are a fan of the Saw series don't skip it. Mainly because you would not be caught up on everything to watch Saw VI when it releases. Just don't have your hopes set too high.

The first Saw movie was good... the sequels have been largely forgettable... like muffled echos of the original. I stopped caring about this franchise some time ago, but I expect we'll see Saw XVIII come out in 2013

Something about this one looked a little off. The Ads on TV just did not have the WOW factor that they did before, leadig me to believe it may be a lesser movie.

I am still looking forward to seeing it, but I will not expect big things.

It is too bad to hear about that Max Payne movie. I thought that looked great on the ads.

See you should have met Cris and I at Jack's last night instead, you would have had a better time. :whistling:

I am a fan of the SAW series, Saw I and II were great, but it seems the series is getting long in the tooth. I recently watched SAW III and was not impressed, like the op stated, too much of the same stuff.
