I absolutely love old cars that we had "back in the day". I'm always spotting about 2/day just cruising on the highway.

Today was a red letter day :D in no particular order, spotted these beauts (some beasts) toodling down the road:

'65 stang
GTO
RoadRunner (prolly the 383 version as my ear recollects)
'65 Stingray - 327 - again, just going by my aging ear
and just when I thought to myself that this has been a great day of car spotting,
here came a Hemi Cuda (the vast majority of these had fights with the likes of trees and telephone poles and though they put up a valiant battle, they ultimately lost :( )

I've had an itch to restore a car, but I've had or liked sooo many of them, it's hard to pin down just one.

There's a 67 Ford Galiaxy 500 (I think) with a 390, C6 and 3.70 gears for sale down the road. It runs and the body is pretty straight. Makes me want to fix up my '71 Poncho someday.

I've learned my lesson "restoring" cars which is NOT to do it :0

You'll always have more into it than it's worth never mind the time and aggrevation. The key is to find something you want that someone ELSE has already restored where the person has to sell it for less than half of what he has into it ;)

The more you pay, the better of a deal you'll ultimately wind up getting. Just be sure to have someone look at it who knows what he's doing before you lay out the cash in order to ensure that you're not getting screwed.

yeah, I kinda figured that out already..I've got a bunch of friends that have gone the "restore" route and I couldn't believe how much they sunk into them.
