ppal tells me they do not use these addresses for customer service, and payments are immediate, no shiping tracking #'s are required to release funds.
Needless to say, i sent all this info to paypal fraud unit and they told me to stay away from this. now i have to relist and hope it sells, i lost some $$$ for the original sell price, but just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

request a final value fees refund.
Takes a week or so.

At least you can get some money back.

help me out here..so did you send the items and not get paid from the nigerian?

I think the well must have gone dry on the e-mail scam they used to run so now they are taking other avenues. Another scam they like to pull has to do with bogus traveler checks. A few people in my area got scammed by this method.

no money lost (well, except for the original sell fees, but i had 37 SERIOUS buyers on the hook for slightly less than what the nigerian bid. this really is a heads-up for you guys who sell items on fleabay.

Instead of re-listing, offer it to the bidder prior to the scammer.

This is why we never take paypal for payment..

There is no protection for the seller.. they always loose when something like this happens..

Credit cards are so much safer than paypal.

I little bit of greed is a good thing, I think. That much greed is self consuming. Having an entire Community in on the scam makes it even that much better. Too bad we'll never get to see the reaction of the scammer.

Greetings! I probably receive about 30 of these "stinky" e-mails per week: money laundering scams, fake lottery winnings, and bogus international business opportunities. All of these assholes want something from you...your money! I delete all of this crap as soon as I receive it. As the old saying goes, may the Bird of Paradise fly up their nose...because they are genuine jackasses! Regards, knightlaird
