Can you believe they let a little cold weather close schools today? I mean, c'mon, it's only -30 out, and the wind chills are only a measly -46! You'd have to have exposed skin for at least 10-15 seconds before you could get frostbite.

My favorite is the line on The Weather Channel's website about the wind chill advisory, "MAKE SURE THAT YOU DRESS IN LAYERS... AND WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES. "

Where we would be without weather professionals such as these helpful folks? :laugh: Schools closed down here as well, though we are downright balmy compared to you guys a little further north.

Right, because I'm going to be out stacking wood today.

I hope our poor brothers on the East Coast are managing to stay warm. :)

It is balmy 24F, the front hasn't gotten here yet.
 
And that's the reason I'm never moving to MN or anywhere close.
 
We had a 2hr delay here because of an inch of snow and the cold. It was -7 here this mornng at 5am but it did warm p nicely to about 10.

Bruce is right, orange ball and GPS is all you need to hit the links today. :cool:
