You can send the thank you note to a service man or woman for free by going to LetsSayThanks.com, you can't pick the person that it goes to but i'm more than sure it will be appreciated.

Thanks for the link Claudio. May you and your family have a Happy Thanksgiving!

It seems a nice gesture. Brothers who have been in the sandbox, is this something you would appreciate? It just seems so impersonal.

Bruce, I agree with you on this. I found I wasn't able to type something I wanted, but had to choose from a list of things to say. I didn't care for that very much, nor did I care for some of the choices Xerox has there for you, but I guess the overall gesture is still there.

I agree that it's impersonal but i have to think that the soldier receiving it will get some sort of a good feeling. Something is better than nothing.

Okay, I goof here and post silliness as often as I get the urge. This isn't one of those times. I will tell you, during my long deployments away, the love and care from home, even from complete strangers, means everything. I had a 3rd grade class write me letters and draw pictures. I still choke up and get all weepy reading them. The little ones know not what they write...we adults do. I promise each of you, your contribution and thought of someone carries much more weight than you imagine. We miss family, home, smells, attitudes, jokes, and the touch and taste of our familiar lives. Truly imagine what being so far away with such uncertainty is like and send a card. It helps.

I totally agree! I just got a few weeks ago and every silly little card or letter I received while being there means more then anything you could imagine. So many times I would get back from a long mission and find mail on my bed. Not from someone I knew but from a complete stranger. No matter what happened or how much shit I just went through, I couldn't help but smile.

Very little goes a long way.
