Have any other of you Great White Northerners been noticing shipping delays coming cross-border lately? Is it just that time of the year where shipping volumes go up and by nature the processing times slow down? I haven't done much in the way of international shipping/receiving until this year so it's all fairly new to me.

The holidays certainly slow shipping down, and it's getting to be that time. How it affects the international end of things, I wouldn't know, except to say that it would take longer for the US leg of the shipping, I would assume.

I just got a call from my wife at home after posting this, and it looks like a package (contest prize) that was sent back around the 16th to 20th of November just arrived today. Other similar packages from BOTLs here took on average 8-10 business days earlier this year. I guess I shouldn't be surprised... 3 government agencies are involved in such a shipment; USPS, Canada Border Services, and Canada Post. If each one gets a backlog it'll slow things down more than usual.
