should barry bonds

I humbly disagree,
I don’t know what Barry Bonds was on but I saw you had mentioned Mark McGuire, Truth be told his usage was way over exaggerated like the guy was taking a needle and juicing up everyday. The fact was that he was taking creatine and some other thing which I believe wasn’t even agents the rules going into the season, they decided to ban it after stringer died. The stuff he was on was over the counter at any fitness store and was blow out of proportion like he was some drug whore and is still regarded as such.

just my opinion

It wasn't the creatine and andro that soured so many fans on McGwire, it was his "testimony" in front of Congress that did him in in the eyes of many baseball fans. He was still beloved by many after the creatine and andro admission. It was his "I'm not here to talk about the past" statement and his unwillingness ot directly answer questions that really made him look bad. It is true that he has not been proven to have broken any rules and we don't know if he used anything that was illegal under the law or not. Had he come out in his Congressional testimony and categorically denied any other drug use I'm sure most baseball fans would have given him the benefit of the doubt.

I love Mark McGwire, he's one of my childhood "heroes", but I was and still am very disappointed in what he appears to have done in the past. He could have fixed that with a few words. Words that he seems to be afraid to say in fear that there may actually be someone somewhere with proof to the contrary.

The worst part about this is one of the drugs that Bonds has been routinely accused of using is HGH (Human Growth Hormone), something that MLB has yet to develop a test for. If MLB is serious about protecting it's numbers (the most sacred numbers in sport, imo), it should be out there developing the necessary tests to detect any and everything. If each team simply put $1 million in a research fund they'd have plenty of money to throw at this and would at least be addressing the problem in a proactive manner for once.

Ah I didn't know Bonds was on HBH, I'm sure it'll come back to bite him in the end anyhow.

He doesn't deserve to be in. McGwire is on thin ice as it is. Sosa... forget him too.

I want the 61 reinstated as the official "record." Screw Bonds... that narcoleptic diabetic infertile cattle.

Seriously... who takes that crap? IDIOT.

Even though he's clearly not the only one taking this stuff... or at least some of that stuff, the way he's handling the situation - his attitude, ego, etc. has soured a large population of people. I'm not talking about just being fed up with his schtick... I'm talking people disliking the SPORT because of him.

I personally think that none of them belong, however because they never tested positive they will get in. Palmiero will never get in due to his positive test. I say lump em all together and put a put asterisk that says "steriod era", unfortunately you have to lump em all together ARod included. Perhaps treating them as a group will force them to better police themselves in the future.
