I use my Sirius satellite radio extensively and there is a problem that drives me nuts. The intro commercials for Sirius that play at the beginning and end of every commercial break are so loud I am afraid I am going to blow the speakers in my vehicles.

For example if I am listening to channel 124 (Sirius NFL), when they go from the talk show to commercials they always insert a plug for Sirius NFL radio and just prior to returning to the talk show they do it again and these are exceptionally loud.

This is constant across multiple vehicles and multiple head units so I don't think it's me. Does anybody else have this issue?

Not so much with XM, I think. But, I am tired of all the cheap commercials that run. My dick is ok just the way it is, thank you very much.

LOL, they do the same with TV commercials. It's not good enough to send subliminal messages to our brains, they also want to make us deaf...Dicks!

Is this in reference to the cheap commercials or a simple statement to your brothers here at CP :whistling:

if it's too loud you're too old!

Is your reciever external or is it a compatible radio?
I have a sportster 5 and have no problems at all.

I now have Sirius and while I had another issue, I haven't really experienced this issue. The volume increases, but by a very minimal amount. Is your receiver an add-on or built in thru the manufacturer, such as Ford or BMW. Mine is built in.

Good luck and if it is an add-on, you might want to search the net - you might be able to modify it thru a setting.

I have used it with the tape deck, FM frequency, and with the headphone out going to an "aux in" in the stereo. I have never had any problems with the sound levels... It could be that I am in a Freigtliner, and have the volume at 33/40 so that I can hear it over the engine, haha. Honestly though, never had the problem.
