According to steam I'm already 76+ hours in and I haven't even scratched the surface yet.

Best The Elder Scrolls game by far, it blows Oblivion out of the water.
 
I'm almost 55 hours in and haven't even really started the main quest yet! The farthest I've gotten in the quest was going to see the Greybeards just so I could learn the shouts. I've just been questing and building levels and perks! Level 32 Imperial with full Heavy Dragon Armor!

Oh and the wifey already knew I was going to be a sloth on the couch for the next 3 months or so. She sits on the couch next to me and reads or watches.
 
I have been playing for a little over 20 hours and still havent got any shouts. All i do is run around with my Orc and a hammer and crush peoples skulls. lol :sign:

Not necessarily Tim, as this game does a good job of giving you information you need to be brought up to speed.

I have the next week off (except Wed) and I'll be playIng it lots. I'm barely level 5, 15(?) hours in.

Nerds unite.
 
looks like a PS3 title then for sure, as I move away from the xbox.

Will look and see if it is on Mac, but not sure I will go Steam.

Just be careful with the ps3 version. I have seen and heard of a lot of freezing and game breaking crashes with it. (Just like FO:NV and Fallout 3 did on mine.) I have it on the 360, and haven't really had any problems out of it. I don't know if anybody else has had their ps3 copies do it. Maybe they can chime in about it. I got it for the 360 because I hated playing New Vegas on my ps3 so much because of the bugs and freezes. Good choice in my opinion. YMMV.


ETA: I'm not a ps3/360 fanboy as I have both systems. (just thought I would say that in case some one misinterpreted what I said.
 
Thx for the heads up, going to borrow a copy of Oblivion from a buddy and play that first, will read up on the Ps3 issues as well
 
I'd skip it, Tim. Skyrim plays fine as a standalone game and is quite a bit better and less repetitive.
 
Play all three, all of them are good games.

Just hit level 29 and am working on the thieves guild right now.
 
The game is amazing! Only lvl 30, but I have yet to do any main quests yet. Only gripe is that there seems to be too few of guilds/ guild quests and not enough major cities I know most of Skyrims terrain is underground in caves and whatnot, but I guess I just miss how many npc's were floating about in morrowind

Also, I just grabbed the collectors edition strategy guide from GameStop and I'm working on a new thief character.

As far as ps3 goes, I haven't had any lag issues yet. Graphics are smooth, and have not had any crashes.
 
Meh... its more like Morrowind <> Skyrim > Oblivion.

And all of them are good investments in gaming.

And blech to playing a TES game on a fugging console.
