Sleepover......bah humbug

I had the train wreck from hell sleepover party a couple of years ago. My daugher innocently decided to have a sleep over party for four other girlfriend's (I think they were 14 at the time). I'm a freakin mess when this goes on because I take my responsibilities VERY seriously for other people's kids. I look out in the front yard and see a car sitting in the driveway - filled with boys. This sight is not sitting too well with me - clearly these boys are 16/17 yrs. old... After a stern warning to stay away, the boys leave...

I notice there are only four girls in the driveway - so I inquire as to where #5 is. They told me she walked down the street with two other boys... I'm a tad angry at this point. I drive around and eventually find the little bugger standing outside of the local gas station/quickie mart/liquor store with the two 16/17 yr. olds - trying to get patrons to buy her cigarettes and beer... And this is the girl whose parents were VERY concerned about her spending the night at my house because they were afraid she'd end up being exposed to these "bad" girls.... YEAH, RIGHT!!! :laugh:

PARTY'S OVER!!!

...and this was all before 7 PM!!!


....Or the other sleepover I had for my older daughter. She had one friend stay over after they were going to attend an 8th grade party. I of course drove them to the party (to get a scope for what was at the party) and picked them up (to make sure they didn't get lost). It was light out when I dropped them off, and very dark when I picked them up. Both seemed very happy with their party, chatting away happily in the back seat on the way home.

After we get back to the house I go into the house and immediately into my bedroom (it was like 10pm, and I wanted to go to bed). I didn't pay much attention to the girls - they toddled off to my daughter's room.

In the morning I got up a bit early and made the girls a nice breakfast. I call the two girls into the kitchen. My daughter's friend came into the kitchen - her face looked like she went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson!!! I'm like - WTF!!!! :0

Turns out during the party a girl came in and saw my daughter's friend - apparently they weren't very social to one another - the other girl takes off her shoe and promptly beats my daughter's friend about the face with the shoe. The mother who hosted the party promptly tossed the little hooligan out, but does nothing to let either myself or the girl's mother know. She just figured it had all handled itself... :angry:


So I'm kinda glad those days are over... But then again - I did like stalking the boys that liked hiding in the bushes looking to peek into the windows at 1AM... :whistling:

Good story. I knew this wasn't a one off.

Also, it got better, at 4:00 am the police were summoned by the next door neighbor. :laugh: Not because of what was going on here, but the dumbass 17 year old boy across the street decided to go four wheeling between our house and the guy next door, who happened to be awake and saw the whole thing. So, my wife and myself had a discussion with the cops and each other until about 5:00. The kid did it a couple of weeks ago, but no one saw him, last night was different. Once is kinda funny, but twice was too much. :angry2: They charged him with property damage. Oh well, here we go.

Girls are back for one more night, still not asleep, but closer tonight than last at the same time.

No worries Bruce. Kids are staying home. And my wife doesn't allow me to light anything in the house, anymore. Including my cigars. I think Steve's wife is the same way. Hell she doesn't even allow him to wear pants in the house :whistling:
 
Man how do you stand so much excitement? ;) Man I know you are looking forward to the week and school nights. Well hopefully it won't be your turn again for a long while :thumbs:
