I'd post a wiity retort, but I just got home from work and these pants make my ass look ginourmous...

I used to do a lot of cooking, and still do when I want great food. But now I usually just say, "Hey Gretchen, how about going into the kitchen and making me some dinner." That usually gets things done.

Me too. My wife couldn't cook boiled eggs when we married. I did all the cooking for the first few years. I still do the cooking if I want anything different than hamburger helper :)

You all must not know the sock drill-
Offer to do your new boyfriends laundry-
take old red underwear and add to said boyfriends whites preferably t-shirt, socks, and tight whiteys if he is a service man -
Place whites in machine, red underwear, and a cup of clorox bleach into washing machine.
Remove from machine his newly decorated clothes into the dryer... fold and voila!
YOU WILL NEVER EVER HAVE TO DO LAUNDRY AGAIN!!!!!!!!

HAHA same goes for food- if you F it up badly enough the hero steps in and you will never have to do it again :)

< uhm... ok I know that sounds bad, but you all know what I mean >
Hell- the man in my life is a kick ass cook, oooh roasted veggies....Yum!! But, I too will lay it down in the kitchen when I so choose to- actually come to think of it I do most of the cooking
Wait<I got tricked!!> I get 1 meal to every 5!

... it just wasn't the topic I expected to see on the board- But I will keep it in mind when packages have to go out to some of you, I know this store that has the cutest pink frilly aprons :p

The whole point is, we're all cooking cuz the wife can't....

Oooooh :whistling:

Back to the original post, there is no such thing as too cold to grill. Out here in the frozen tundra of rural Minnesota I've fired up the grill when it's been well below zero to cook everything from NY Strips to Chicken to Walleye. But that's not to say the crock pot doesn't have it's place as well. Not much beats a warm thick stew or roast that's been cooked for the last 10 hours!

And I'm another one that will say that I do all the cooking at our house. In fact, just the other night I thought I'd let my wife try her hand at one of those Instant MacNCheese deals with the cheese already made up in the pouch, but she overcooked the pasta so bad they all congealed together to make an awful mess. So much for that!

Not because they can't, it's because you all think they can't....

...Ok...
tonight's menu consisted of a mango bonless chicken breast and mango chutney, sauteed red chards with onions and garlic in a butter sauce, and couscous-

Hi, jabba! I am glad that you are enjoying your slow cooker. I have owned a West Bend slow cooker for approximately 10 years. I especially enjoy preparing roast beef with it. I just recently ordered an As Seen On TV Micro Master pressure cooker. I am looking forward to cooking with it. Enjoy your cooking, and Happy New Year! Regards, knightlaird
