Smoke Shops in Savannah, GA

I spent a couple of weeks in Savannah earlier this year. I never could find the Tinderbox, but did find a few others. There are two down on River Street within walking distance of each other. One of them is the Ye Ole Smoke shop. I can't remember the name of the other. Neither had much of a selection.

The main shop for the Ye Ole Smoke Shop is located at 280 Eisenhower Dr. I can't tell you anything about it, because it was closed by the time I got off work. It shares a building with a lamp store or somthing like that.

The best one that I actually found there is Outman Knife and Cigar in the Savannah Mall on Abercorn Street. The staff is very friendly. Their level of knowledge will depend on who is working when you stop in, but all are friendly. They have a pretty good selection of premium smokes. But don't expect to get any deals. The prices are not seriously high, but there aren't any bargins either.

I agree that there's not too much selection at the places near River Street. I did go to the Ye Ole Tobacco Shop main shop on Eisenhower and that selection is much better. It's worth the trip. If you plan to take a day trip to Charleston at some point, there are better cigar shops, in my opinion, but not worth driving to Charleston specifically for cigars.
