Just wanted to mention that I was in Kansas City last week for some business. In what for me were very unusual circumstances, everything at work went very well and I was all done by noon on Thursday! That never happens! They cut me loose (that really never happens!) and I found myself with almost 1/2 a day to kill. (return flight on Friday). Of course, I jumped on the internet, went to my favorite cigar site (Cigar Pass of course) and searched for "Kansas City". The Outlaw Cigar Store popped up, I read a few of the posts...seemed like a place worth checking out and it was only 4 or 5 miles from the hotel.

I stopped in and spent some time with Brad and Scott. I told them I was a CP'er and they recognized me by my posts searching for the Padron 26s for my wife. They treated me like family and Scott gave me the royal tour of their huge walk-in humidor. He pointed out all the new and rare stuff. What a great place! I picked out a Tatujue and spent the next hour or so just hanging out, watching some TV, smoking my cigar and cruising the store.

If you get there at the right time, be sure and pick a seat that has a good view of the window...there is a tanning salon next door and the foot traffic can be a show by itself...(I might have to schedule a summer trip to KC!).

By the end of the day for the working folks, the place started to fill up with regulars (everybody seemed to know each other). If I lived close, I think I would be a regular too!

Congrats to the guys for putting together such a cool cigar store. It was a great place to spend an afternoon away from home. Now, I'm looking forward to my next business trip to KC!

Cheers,
Joe
