So tonight a few friends of ours got together and watched the first official College football game of the season...Abilene Christian and NW Missouri State...no, we did not care, but it was FOOTBALL!! And then...I got hit in the face with a big plate of "music goodness"!!

I was told by the spouse the the other day that KISS would indeed be coming through Birmingham on October 24. Apparently they really do like coming here (a shock I know). So while I think that the tickets officially go onsale saturday, I was able to purchase them tonight. Great seats...floor, GREAT seats....i was drooling...expensive....I had to wake the hubby to ask permission to get them since I knew his asshole would suck a lemon...the actual ticket price I think is gonna be pretty on par (maybe just a few bucks less than what I paid...but maybe not once I see on saturday) but it's the "handling" fees that i think were a bit high...all in all I told him my Christmas present was done and I was just happy he was going with me. So although I will miss Alabama put the big SPANKING on Tennessee that day (Lane Kiffin you bastage!) I will be at the BJCC having KISS put the big spanking on me for the 3rd time!! (Yeah I know that didn't sound right)

Way to go Melly! I for one have never had the opportunity to see KISS live so I'm envious they are playing in your hometown. I buy tickets on websites and don't mind paying the handling charges, it beats standing in line and you get pretty good seats by using the computer.

They were the first rock group I purchased on 8-track back then.

Have fun Mel, I've see KISS back in the day when they use to get all dressed up and stuff (70's). It was a great show back then and I heard they are doing even better ones now....... :)

Enjoy!!!!!

I saw them for the "farewell" tour about 10 years ago. Now they have a new record coming out!

Not sure that Paul can still hit as many high notes but I'm glad I got to see them. I'll never forget it.

"Hardest working band in rock & roll."

Enjoy!
